Sexual Assault Caught in Reflection on Washing Machine Lid

A 24-year-old man who had completely denied allegations of sexual assault was sentenced to seven years in prison after footage reflected on a washing machine lid was admitted as evidence.

The man was brought to trial for repeatedly sexually assaulting his then-girlfriend between March and April of last year.

According to the prosecution’s investigation, he had secretly recorded nude photos and videos of sexual encounters with multiple women on his phone. When his girlfriend discovered this and decided to break up with him, he allegedly confined and sexually assaulted her for an extended period.

During the investigation, the suspect completely denied the allegations. The video submitted by the victim was 39 minutes long, but only two minutes visibly showed both individuals.

However, prosecutors discovered that the remaining 37 minutes were reflected on the plastic lid of a washing machine in the footage. After enhancing the image quality, they extracted clear evidence from the reflection.

When presented with this evidence, the man confessed to all charges. The prosecution also identified additional sexual offenses committed by him and included them in the trial.
