Singer Wheesung was confirmed to have passed away at the age of 43 on March 10, 2025, at his residence in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Wheesung was found in cardiac arrest at his home. While the police found no evidence of foul play at the scene, they requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death. On March 12, the National Forensic Service’s initial findings stated that “the cause of death is unknown.” Wheesung’s funeral was held on March 16.
Singer Shin Ye-ji revealed her last conversation with Wheesung. On the day of his death, March 10, around 2 AM, Wheesung left his final message: “Let’s meet again after the recording is done.”
